On April 10, 2020, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted Resolution No. PP-4670 "On measures for the protection, cultivation, processing and rational use of available resources of wild medicinal plants."

According to the decision of the Presidium of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the organizational structure of the Executive Committee of the Chamber was changed and a department "Support to Medicinal and Spice Growers" was established, consisting of 3 state units.

The main tasks and activities of the department are:

Development of systematic proposals to support the interests of medicinal and spice growers in our country and the development of their activities;

Organization of business forums, exhibitions and fairs in the country and abroad and ensuring the wide participation of local entrepreneurs of medicinal and spice plants;

Creation of an electronic information system containing information about the characteristics of cultivated medicinal and spice plants, the areas in which they are grown;

Practical assistance in obtaining the necessary information related to the implementation of business activities;
Participate in the organization and conduct of outreach work among the population on the circulation of drugs and pharmaceutical activities;

Active cooperation with international organizations for the cultivation and processing of medicinal plants and the gradual introduction of innovative solutions (know-how) in the industry;

Creating and organizing business structures for start-ups of medicinal and spice growers, as well as providing them with expert, legal and advisory assistance in preparing business plans, obtaining the necessary information related to entrepreneurship and solving practical problems;

Regular monitoring of the activities of medicinal and spice growers, assistance in overcoming problems and obstacles;

Monitoring the most important issues affecting the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of medicinal and spice growers;

Develop and conduct training courses for business entities on the basics of doing business, business planning, management, financial management and other necessary disciplines for medicinal and spice growers.
